Yangtze River Delta Transport Integration Forum: Chenlift Attends SWJTU Event

On May 30, the 3rd Southwest Jiaotong University Yangtze River Delta Forum was held at the InterContinental Shanghai NECC. Hosted by Southwest Jiaotong University and organized by its Yangtze River Delta Alumni Association, the forum focused on the theme “Building the Future with Intelligence: Supporting High-Quality Integrated Transport Development in the Yangtze River Delta.”

More than 400 academicians, industry experts, enterprise representatives and alumni attended the event to exchange insights on transportation integration, intelligent construction, digital transformation and regional high-quality development.

The forum brought together leading experts from China’s rail transit, bridge engineering, power supply, urban infrastructure and intelligent transportation sectors. Discussions covered key topics such as rail transit planning, green bridge construction, high-speed railway power supply innovation, urban rail renewal, digital twin technology, AI-powered transport systems and coordinated regional mobility.

During the keynote sessions, academicians and industry specialists shared their views on the future direction of China’s transportation infrastructure. Their presentations highlighted the growing importance of intelligent equipment, low-carbon construction, digital operations and cross-regional collaboration in supporting the next stage of transport development in the Yangtze River Delta.

In the afternoon, a parallel forum themed “Digital Intelligence and Four-Network Integration” was also held. Experts and enterprise representatives discussed integrated travel in the Yangtze River Delta, interconnection of urban and intercity rail lines, trustworthy transport data systems, and the application of artificial intelligence in transportation operations and energy-saving optimization.
