What Data We Collect & Why

Contact & Enquiry Forms
When you submit an enquiry, request a quote, or use our contact form, we may collect your name, email address, company name, country, and the content of your message. We use this information to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, provide technical information, and manage the relevant business relationship.

Protected Brochure Downloads
When you request a protected product brochure, we collect your business email address and purchase intention. We also process the file ID requested, the request time, your IP address, your email domain, and the browser language sent by your browser.

We use this information to issue the requested file, prevent repeated or abusive downloads, understand the approximate geographic distribution of brochure interest, and follow up on product enquiries where appropriate. We do not require you to manually enter your country for a brochure download.

Automatic Country Estimation
We estimate the visitor’s country primarily from the IP address used for the request. If an IP lookup is unavailable, we may use the email domain and browser language as secondary signals. The result is an approximate country-level estimate, not a precise location, and may be inaccurate when you use a VPN, proxy, mobile network, corporate gateway, or privacy tool.

The download record may contain the detected country code, country name, detection source, and confidence level. We store an HMAC hash of the IP address for rate-limiting and abuse prevention rather than storing the plain IP address in the download-request table.

Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form — your name, email address, and comment text — as well as your IP address and browser user-agent string. This helps us detect and filter spam. An anonymised hash of your email address may be sent to Gravatar to check whether you have a profile picture. See Gravatar’s privacy policy.

Server & Analytics Logs
Our web server automatically records standard log data when you visit the site, including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, pages visited, and timestamps. This data is used for security monitoring, performance analysis, and diagnosing technical issues.

Media Uploads
If you upload images or files to this website, avoid uploading files that contain embedded location data such as EXIF GPS. Visitors may be able to download uploaded files and extract that data.

Cookies

• Gravatar: An anonymised email hash may be shared with Automattic solely to retrieve a profile picture for comment display.

We do not share enquiry or download-request data with data brokers, advertising networks, or third-party marketing platforms for their own advertising purposes.

How Long We Retain Your Data

• Protected download requests: Email, purchase intention, file ID, country assessment, and request timestamps are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the download service, respond to product interest, maintain security records, investigate abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We periodically review these records and delete or anonymise them when they are no longer needed.
• Download tokens: A protected link expires after 15 minutes and is invalid after its first successful use. Expired or used token records may be retained temporarily for security and audit purposes.
• Country lookup cache: A temporary IP-country lookup result is cached for approximately one day to avoid repeated requests to the geolocation provider. The cache does not replace the download-request record.
• Enquiry submissions: Contact and quote requests are retained for the period necessary to complete the relevant business interaction and comply with applicable legal obligations.
• Comments: Approved comments and associated metadata may be retained indefinitely so that follow-up comments can be recognised and moderated.
• Server logs: Standard server access logs are retained for a rolling period determined by our hosting provider, typically 30–90 days.

Your Rights Over Your Data

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, delete, correct, restrict, or object to processing of personal data we hold about you. You may also object to direct marketing or request information about the service providers involved in processing your data.

To exercise a right, contact us using Section 10. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We may retain information where required for legal, administrative, fraud-prevention, or security purposes.

If you are located in the EEA or United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Our website is hosted on servers operated by our web hosting provider. Data submitted through contact forms, protected brochure downloads, and comments may be transmitted to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence.

When you request a protected brochure, your public IP address may be sent to ipapi.co for approximate country-level estimation. The request may therefore involve an international transfer of IP-related data. IP-based country detection may be unavailable or inaccurate, and the download can still proceed using the available fallback signals.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Comment data submitted for spam checking may be processed on servers outside China.

We take reasonable steps to ensure that international transfers of personal data are handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
