MD Series — Full-Electric, Oil-Free Vertical Lift HOT — MD390OP
The MD is the machine we lead with in Norway. It lifts on electric actuators, so there is no hydraulic oil to leak, change or maintain — a decisive point for food, pharma, clean-room, retail and data-centre operators, and for rental fleets tired of oil-related call-outs. The order-picking MD390OP (5.85 m, operator and load separated, 0.8 m aisle, zero inside turning radius) is the most-asked variant; MD390-2 adds a 6 m reach with 230 kg capacity, and MD570 reaches 7.7 m for taller interior work. CAN BUS J1939 diagnostics give fleet managers an online/offline data interface out of the box.

MX580S — 0.76 m Narrow Self-Propelled Scissor
The narrowest body in the MX range at 0.76 m — through standard doorways, retail aisles and data-centre cold corridors. 24 V AC asynchronous drive with 4 × 6 V / 200 Ah batteries holds up in cold charging environments, 25% gradeability and auto pothole protection handle the semi-outdoor winter sites, and the 1,500 kg chassis with forklift pockets makes fleet transfer simple between depots.

MX1600S — 17.8 m High-Reach Flagship Scissor
The top of the MX range and the machine for Norway’s large envelopes — airport expansion, commercial towers, industrial and infrastructure works. Outriggers provide the stability base at full height, the 3.00 × 1.15 m platform with 0.90 m extension carries two workers plus material, and the 4.5 kW motor with 260 Ah batteries is sized for sustained full-shift use rather than light duty.

Norway is one of Europe’s most mature access markets: the densest MEWP fleets per capita in the region, an electric-first fleet standard set by large rental houses such as Cramo, Ramirent and Naboen Utleie (public market reference, not our partners), and buyers who are far less price-sensitive than compliance-sensitive. IPAF’s European reports put rental growth in the Nordics among the strongest in Europe across 2024–2025 even while big-boom demand softened — the growth is in compact scissor, low-level and vertical lifts. That is exactly the slot the MD and MX electric lines occupy. Forecasts point to a construction and infrastructure market near USD 100 billion by 2030, with the pipeline dominated by transport, energy and data-centre spend rather than housing.
Selling here on “lowest price” fails. Selling on CE documentation, electric product architecture, cold-climate configuration and a clear 2027 compliance path is what actually opens conversations.

Importing MEWP into Norway — the 2027 regulatory switch
Norway is in the EEA, so CE marking is the mandatory route — and the rules are changing on a fixed date that every importer already has on the calendar.
CE under the current Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC)
Machines exported now ship with the CE Declaration of Conformity, CE marking and an English manual covering the specific model and configuration ordered. Under current rules that package satisfies the EEA route to placing on the market.
EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 becomes applicable
The new Regulation replaces the Directive. Expect digital Declarations of Conformity, digital labelling options and a higher documentation bar across the machine’s lifecycle. Machines CE-marked under the Directive before this date remain legally placeable while in the distribution chain; new production and imports shift to the Regulation’s requirements.
Digital-ready design becomes a buying criterion
The MD series — electric actuators, CAN BUS SAE J1939, onboard diagnostics — is structurally simpler to document digitally than a hydraulic machine. Buyers building fleets now with 2027 in mind are weighing which architecture will carry the new documentation burden more cheaply.
